An oldie, but a goodie, and with rules as simple as the title: Players post a single sentence to the story, continuing on until the story ends! It's a blast, and always hilarious to go back and read from start to finish.

Lonely and somewhat sad, he felt the only person he could talk to was a gnarled old cat that had no teeth.

But the cat didn't like the old man, and so he always avoided the old man.

Until it was time to eat, that is, at which time he would nag the old man endlessly until the cat was satisfied with food.

The old man felt like he was being taken advantage of, but seeing as the cat was his only friend, he went along with it anyway.
